Thumbs up Urban Cougar Incident

This Morning in Saskatoon sk. a cougar was shot and killed by police in an urban backyard, the owner or tenant there was displeased (and much so) and said they should have tranquelized or netted it, to which the cops responded It would have taken 5 minuites (in which the cougar can go CRAZY And kill someone) for the trancs to set in and they're not prepared to net it. Do you, My fellow Huntchatians, think the cops handled this situation well? I do.

By all means, yes!

(Do you really need to ask a question like that here?)

Remember when the F&G shot a Moose not 1 mile from Boston and with yards of a major interstate. Would I have rather had them knock the Moose out, yes but with cars zipping past a 70mph it was better to put him down fast.

I bet these same people that cry about shooting animals or how they are removed.....never give thought about the poor groundhog that had a home where they built their house and yard...or the squirrel that lived in the tree they had to remove to build their garage.....or how many lost their homes because of the gold course they like to play golf on every sunday....all cry...save the critters.....but then they just see life as 'hurray for me'......

1) Cops don't have tranq guns

2) Cops don't have animal nets

3) Irregardless of the above, trying to live net a grown cougar is a sure way to qualify for the Darwin Awards

4) Law Enforcement isn't a spectator sport

What are you talking about Skeeter? Are you suggesting that because someone voted no that they are of lesser quality than you? That someone may have voted no that they cannot have their own opinions to an issue?

You Skeeter, complain about me.. well I think those that love to dish it out, like you are here, but whine when someone disagrees with you, like you are here, are really HYPOCRITICAL... but then I may have misread post and so was asking what you meant before I form an OPINION about how some of you are here, and when you whine about me just laugh you off.

Aloha...

At ease rattus....I don't see where I mentioned anything of you or your name...all I said was those people that cry about how animals are handled and want to stop hunting animals are the very same ones that destroy land to play golf or build a mall or parking lot or the sort....as long as they are the ones doing it they think it is ok but don't let anyone else do it.....
As for the comments and slam on me personally , I think I deserve an apology of some sort from you...I see nothing in my post that is hypocritical or a dig on you or even a mention of your name so why single me out to slam poor comments on?....Where is the moderator here?....Just stating my opinion and if it is different than yours..so be it...I think they handled it fine..that is what an 'opinion poll' is for....
Rattus you have no idea who i am or what I have done in this lifetime or my true thoughts ...but I can say and I can point out tons of people that will say from your statement, you are a very poor judge of a person....maybe you need another drink!

Skeeter... I aint apologizing to you or anyone when I don't have anything to apologize for... AGAIN you post stuff without looking at what has been posted and ASS UME stuff right off the bat.

Me.. why would I worry about me... I asked you a question about who you were referring to who "I bet these same people that cry about shooting animals or how they are removed.....never give thought about the poor groundhog that had a home where they built their house and yard...or the squirrel that lived in the tree they had to remove to build their garage.....or how many lost their homes because of the gold course they like to play golf on every sunday....all cry...save the critters.....but then they just see life as 'hurray for me'...... (skeeter)" with your cynical rant.

I asked, what do you mean? You mean you think that someone who voted no were one of these people you describe? How do YOU know who is on these threads.... hmmmm Skeeter.... and your right I don't know YOU from Adam, but I'm familiar with the type.

"At ease Rattus.... " That was actually pretty funny...

Aloha...

Stuck on an Island in the middle of the Pacific ocean is a deserving place for some....I just don't know why you think I slam you for not agreeing with the opinions of others...I don't even see where you said you agree or not to the question at hand in the post....so how could I have made a slam on your opinion...I have dealt with people grumping about us hunting animals while they were running bulldozers knocking over woods and habitat to build a house....and that is where I come up with the hurray for me thing....is fine for them....but not for others...they are blind to any wrong doing....??..sort of like this post...I still don't see where I pointed any fingers at you and you have no business even talking about anything here other than the original post...(making a slam on me directly) .do you think it was handled correct?.... I said...yes...and my reason followed...those that say no..probably do follow in the hurray for me category...(my opinion)..and that is because I have dealt with them in past....I did not see any explanation that followed your vote NO....because I never even seen where you voted....this was an opinion poll..??.don't forget...Nov elections soon....bet I can guess who you want in too.......am done...time to eat my deer sausage and head to the creek and catch some steelhead...have a fine day....enjoy...and....lighten up ...life is hard enough....oh...i did forget...isn't HC a place where we can talk and express our thoughts?..If not..then why should I be excluded?..if I do wrong, the moderators and owners can let me know...I can move on..I just like hearing opinions of others...and gather correct information on important issues...till then, I will state my opinions just as others do....

That wind blows both ways, rattus. Skeeter made absolutely NO mention of the poll or who voted what in it. You jumped on that of your own accord and without cause.

As with so many threads, this one was civil until you jumped in. Many moderators have attempted, through PMs and otherwise, to steer you to a more pleasant course. Regrettably, you persist in being a rabble-rouser. Therefore, as Admin, I am removing you from our roster. Do not try to re-register under another name, please.

Thread locked to discourage comments about my actions.
