"JoAnn is used to shooting a bolt action .22 l.r. and is comfortable in using a bolt action shotgun."

I guess if she is comfortable using it, that is all that matters, and it is a good way to get her introduced to shotgunning.

However, she won't be making a quick double or triple on doves, teal, mallards, quails, etc. any time soon. I did kill 3 deer in one group with my bolt rifle, but the first one I shot when they stopped in the middle of a field, the next one I shot because she stopped to look back at the other one laying in the field right as the group was entering the woods, and the third one I shot when the group decided to come back out of the woods and into the field 100 yards further down.

What is she planning on using the shotgun for?
