Yes I know Skinny, but that sight does not contain any information on newscasts that have not yet happened. When it does contain that information then I will post the link directly to it (I am assuming that the information will show up after the schedualed broadcast assuming they don't back out of it)

I know we are all upset about the current political BS. However that doesn't mean somebody should be dismissive to anybody else when the post, NOR should anybody be jumping the gun at this point. (Thats why I like HC we tend to have more level headed folks on for the most part)

BPs statement was

Channel 11 News in Houston, Texas has announced that on the Thursday night news they will have an expose about spies working in the Houston area and that you need to be watching your neighbor, to see if they are a spy.

That is a statement of fact. He saw (as did I) an advertisement for a newscast on Thursday night on TV. This is not opinion, this is a FACT about an ad. Period.

He then extrapilated a response

He hasn't even been sworn in yet and its already started with the Civilian Defence Force (CDF)(Aka Gestopo!) trying to get people to spy on each other.

that statement was made under the assumption that the broadcast would indeed show the information that it claimed it was going to show, and linked such information to what has happened in the past in world history.

Still no jumping the gun at this point by any party. BP excercised freedom of speech and the mental power of linking two events that have already been compared by a large number of people, inlcuding MT who recognized that the Nazis did this in the 30s and Billy who simply made a statement of sarcasam (well earned sarcasm we all feel I might add) towards the Obama camp.

At this point justwannano asked a PRUDENT question. Could this instead be related to the boarder infiltrations? But also asked for linkage to a site. It is not yet available on a site as the broadcast has not happened. My response could have been taken the wrong way as my frustration with the recent string of "Prove it with a link" statements having been made by various posters and responders. This is frustrating to me because the general assumption seems to be if you don't have a link it didn't happen. Justwannano responded in kind, and I took offense at the dismissive tone and use of the "chicken little" analogy particularly directed at me since I work hard to be open minded until the facts are proved.

At any rate this whole ball of wax is probably my fault in the end. No offense ment to anybody at all.

As soon as the Channel 11 story gets posted I will link it (or as soon as I am on afterwards) I only get the channel once in a blue moon when the sky is clear and it is cold (had it most of this week so far), so with my luck I will probably have to watch it recorded or online (assuming it makes it that far)

The chicken little comment was not aimed at you.
It was a general statement aimed at those who continually seek to link doomsday to the inaugaration of the next president.
I have never seen any kind of proof that would lead me to believe that Obama is the type of leader that would persecute anyone.
What I have seen is a bunch of simple minded generalizations touted as truth.

Obama is a secret muslim.
Obama is against the 2nd amendment.
Obama is buddies with that anti war activist.
Obama's middle name is Huseain so he must be muslim.
Obama isn't a US citizen.
Obama took his oath of office with the Koran.

Those that spread this kind of crap are not level headed.

Has been since Chicago was founded.
Makes sense to me that he had to deal with a lot of folks that were anti gun. You just can't ignore folks that ask for that kind of legislation. And he didn't.
What you need to do is check into how much of that legislation was actually passed. Thats the only way you can claim gun bias.
Chicago did not bann guns like DC did.

Do us all a favor and Prove he isn't beyond a reasonable doubt. Goint to the "Christian" church headed by that Hate monger would be right up a Muslims alley...or so it would seem. He WAS raised in a Muslim school in Indonesia,.He took classes in the Muslim religion.. I don't know if he is a Muslim...but it is entirely possible. All he has to do is produce the Birth Certificate proving the US citizenship. His father was from a foreign country..He was not a US citizen..No matter where he was born to a non US citizen he would be a citizen of the country of his fathers birth .Unless his father was a legal immigrant...which he wasn't.

I live in the Chicagoland area. The Hyde Park area that Obama hails from is far safer than other parts of the city-particularly West and South. Obama has received a solid F rating from the NRA and ILA because of his voting record on anything having to do with firearms and is on record (you can look it up-I am not making it up here) for his opposition to the civilian ownership and use of firearms. This is a viewpoint which is diametrically in opposition to the 2nd ammendment. It matters not if the legislation passed, what does matter is how he voted on these issues and spoke about them, all on record of course.

Chicago has had a full handgun ban in effect since the Laurie Dann shootings in Winnetka (a Chicago suburb) in 1983. Since this time, the gangland shootings, violent assaults, and rapes have increased. There have been more shooting related deaths in the "handgun-free" killing fields of Chicago this current fall than the loss of life by our nations brave servicemen in Iraq.

I am sorry but I can firmly atest to gun bias by Obama, Mayor Richard M. Daley (the mayor of Chicago) and Rod Blagoevich (state governor who himself will probably see bars and the inside of a jail cell sometime soon following a grand jury indictment) Feel free to look up the positions of each one of these jokers.
