Colt Detective Special 2"
I really like 2-inch revolvers and came across a police turn-in at a local gun shop. The revolver was made in the early 1960s and is like new. I got it for less than $300.00. In checking a few websites to see what the current auction prices looked like and I was shocked. The website numbers were two or three times more than I paid for my Colt. That's why I prefer to shop locally. All the best...

Gil,
I like my Colt 2-inch with nickel finish and hammer shroud for trench coat carry. You did well. Adam

Adam;
I currently carry a Colt Det. Special (circa 1970's) that I bought back in the mid 80's, used. It had seen a lot of holster wear, so I had the gun reblued & tuned up. The gun is one of two that I use as my primary CCW piece. The gun is a bit heavier than the usual S&W chief special, et al, but I don't notice the weight while carrying, and I like the advantage of a 6th shot. Enjoy the 'new' gun............ ![]()

BTW: Forgot to mention that if you take a look at ANY used Colt compared to what it was a year ago, you will see that prices have gone through the roof on just about all of them.

Gave one of them to my sister as a wedding present. Guaranteed nobody else was going to bring the same gift.

Good choice. I would take a Colt any day over some other revolvers. Prices are marching right off the charts. Take care...
