If you want to come over and you only have long guns (non restricted rifles & shotguns (btw the AR-15 and all varients are restricted in Canada) you can get them over with out registration with the declaration (do the paperwork in advance)
As for Handguns.. forget it, they are restricted in Canada and the regulations can be a real pain. Read through the site that you posted and you will fun tons of info that will confuse you. Heck I live here and it confuses me.
