A bit frustrating!

Been trying really hard to get a good load for my .204!

Shooting Win Cases, Rem 7 1/2 BR primers, H335.

Barnes 26gr Varmint grenades wont group good at all.

Hornady V-Max 32gr dont group very good.

Hornady V-Max 40gr are the best so far at 26.8gr of H335. About .9" groups...played with seating depth a bit and hasnt really helped at all.

Think I am going to try a few more different powders and see what I can get...I expect at least .6" off the bench for what I want to use the rifle for.

RL-10X has been good for some people, and H322 has been good for others...so might pick up a pound of each and play some more...Gonna have the barrel shot out before I get a good load made up!! LOL!!!

Forgot to add....I am off to Calgary tomorrow to check out the shiny new Bass Pro Shop there!! Can I find a deal maybe??

Captian,
I know That I'm about to compare apples to oranges but I pick up a Pound of RL-10X back when it first hit the shelves a few years ago. I am still am using RL-10x in my 222 Remington with nothing but good thing to say about it.

Yup, thats why its on my list of things to try

I first choose the H335 because of the data I was able to find for different bullets...but since it isnt working like I want, I will have to try other things...

My CZ 527 is a real tack driver with the 32 gr. Sierra bullets and a Data powder the same burn rate as AA 2460 powder. It will still shoot around 3/4 in. with 39 Sierra`s and 32 Hornady`s but 40 Hornadys 1 1/2 to 2 in. groups. Just picked up another .204, this one a Savage and it does not like the 32 gr. Sierra`s but looks like it going to shoot the 35 Bergers and the 40 Hornady real well. Just keep looking seems all guns are different.
