Leupold.

Not dissing your choice of optics..But you will have to pay more for the VXIII than you would for a VXII 3x9. If you want a slightly smaller scope get the VXII 3x9 Compact. I had the same choice this weekend at a gun show and I bought the VXII Compact. Both are good scopes though. I put a 4.5x14 LR with Boone and Crockett reticle on a 300 Win mag. That sucker is clear....and really pricey. Looked all all kinds of scopes in the last few years and while the German scopes are nice and very clear... I'll buy American for 1/2 the cost. Just my 2 cents

I'm aware of all the normal avenues to purchase.

I was hoping someone had a lightly used they were looking to sell. Guess I wasn't specific, my bad.

Leupold

Already made the offer and they turned it down. Lots of guns showing up at the pawn shop. Times is gettin tough out there. Some guns aren't selling that well either. Another couple of months and the hunting stuff will start selling. Even handguns aren't selling that well now at least in the pawn places here.

I have a 2-7x33 with flip up scope caps (butler creek I think)
I think it is a vxII
It is mounted on a remington mohawk 308
has slight mounting scars but is still as good and accurate as the day I mounted it on.

Vxii

That scope would probably be a VXII Compact. For some odd reason they bring a bit higher price when new..little less used I have 2 of them..one on and older Ruger 77 270 and the other on another Ruger 77 in 30-06. Good scopes for certain.
