BRP Cast Bullets
Can anyone tell me if they are still in business. I was getting ready to load some 444 Marlins and noticed that I am running short on lead. I searched the net and it is not sounding good.

I`ve never used or heard of these bullets, but if you cannot find them and are looking for good hard cast gas checked bullets try Lead Head Bullets. I have pushed them to 2,600 fps without any leading, but them ain`t cheap.

Catfish,
Thanks for the info. My buddy turned me on to BRP's in the early 2000's for loading for my 44 Mag. As you described of the Lead Heads, good hard cast with no leading was what I was getting from the BRP's. Low and behold after thinking session at the bench, I started stuffing them into my 444. 255 Gr. SWCGC's are perfect Whitetail medicine. The Marlin loves them and the Deer hate them ![]()

you could also try S&S bullet company out of marlow, oklahoma.
father and son team there, does great work. makes all sorts of cast bullets, pistol and rifle calibers. they even made me some hard cast bullets for my .300 savage, worked great too. i am not finding a net link for them, lemme ask around and get a point of contact, if your interested. |
