My Dakota Sport was an antique when it was made. Just or only 73 made as I understand the tale of woe. Sounds like I best hang on to this one; a grade IV with 32 inch barrels in 12ga. It looks a bit like a Perazzi O/U and also had a MSR at about $10k by coincidence.

PS Before I spent the big bucks on a Dakota I checked, is how I knew about the CEO. Not good.... he was and may now still be head of Zoli USA.

I can only hope and pray that they make the Dakota #10 at a reasonable price. Fat chance of that happening. i cannot see why they can't bring out a plain model with decent wood and checkering and keep the price under two grand. I had the chance to shoot one in their plainst version in .270 Win. and the guy put out $4.,500 for it. I have Ruger #1's with better wood than what was on that Dakota. Still, I'd love to have one, probably in 7x57 Mauser. That one would get used a whole lot, I kid you not.
