Something all of us need to keep an look out for!
Saw this one on another thread and I thought it was something that should be spread around to as many people as I can get it to.
Check out the following link: http://www.duckcommander.com/command...=7667#post7667 Hope this never happens to anyone again. I've had my share of injuries but this one looks like it ouched some. Let us all know what you think about that.

I would have to hear a little more about it. In our society the manufacturer of the product is the easiest to blame....what was he doing? the point of his arrow was BEHIND his grip far enough to allow the arrow to enter his hand behind his rearmost knuckle??? Maybe the arrow was too short and not on the rest? Again, I don't know what really happened but I wouldn't arbitrarily blame the bow. Although if I wanted to jump on the band wagon I could say "that's why I shoot a Hoyt" lol.

This is what the individual in question said
I'm not blaming a bow or the shooter, I just thought everyone should be aware of this incident and use alot of caution.
The following was posted further along in the linked thread: "yea i shoot lefthanded... it had a drop away arrow rest and my only guess would be when the string came off the cam the rest dropped and wasnt guiding the arrow any more so the arrow went where it wanted to which just happened to b my hand lol... the arrow kept enough pressure on my finger to stop the bleeding and as far as pain for as bad as it looks it wasnt that bad... its been almost a week ago that this happened and the most pain has come from bumping on somethin and cleaning the entrance and exit wound.... still no feeling in that finger though, which kinda worries me but i know its prolly keepin me out of a lot of pain lol" I can't say what actually happened but this is what the guy said, in his thread. Anything else I said about how it happened would be guess work on my part. I don't know the guy or even where he lives, I just thought it was something everyone should see. Again, I'm not blaming the bow or the shooter, I'm just passing along the information.

Hoyt!
![]() um wait...my recurve is a Hoyt so I guess I can't knock them too much! Looks like it hurts to me...not sure I want to be shooting next to that fellow, regaurdless of who/what was to blame. Kind of like the guys that always seem to acidently discharge their firearm when they are unloading it...how is that possible?

Bulletpusher, didn't mean to strike a chord with you. Sorry if you took offense.
Petey, you know as well as anyone that I've shot them all!

Bigbrother,
No offense taken, from your comments, I realized that if I added the extra information that it might be a little clearer.
