The past couple weekends we went down to Vanburen Iowa to shoot some deer with the rifles. The first weekend we went down and only shot three. We only have one farm to hunt so we had to hunt a lot of public ground. We killed 1 on the farm and 2 at shimek which is a big public ground. then last weekend we went back down and shot 7. 3 at the private ground and 4 at shimek. so in all we shot 10 in two weekends. there was 6 of us that went down. we saw a few deer but not many. good thing i was able to use the ol' 30-06
that put a few down from the 150-200 yard range.
