Probably not a lot of difference between a standard rifle scope and an ML scope. Some models have a different reticle, some models may have the parallax set at less than 100 yards, or they might have a bit more eye relief than a standard rifle scope.
Maybe.
In a lot of cases, the difference is the writing on the box.
I think either of the scopes you have would work.

The difference in what the factory calls them depends on the yardage the parellax is set for. Unless you have an exceptionly accurate muzzle loader and are a very good shot you will not be able to tell the difference between them. I have a 2 1/2 X highpowered rifle scope on my 209-50 and have taken deer as close as 20 yrds. and as far as 189 yrds. with it.
