snares, snare wire, etc

Alright the dogs are keeping me up at night chasing rabbits, foxes, coons, and a frisk armidillo that just ignores them. . . . .

I need to start snaring again, but being that I am looking at foxes I need something better than bailing wire. And yes I know I have to be careful not to get the dogs caught in a snare.

Where do you get your snare wire, etc.

We cannot snare. Our liberals deemed it unhuman. Go figure.

well that sucks, I am also thinking about doing some live trapping and building myself a new set of rabbit hutches. I would LOVE to crossbreed our big southern swamp bunnies with Flemish Giants. Get a huge meat rabbit with great heat tolerance.

We too can not snare here in PA. But a friend of mine snares a lot in Nebraska. He buys bulk wire and uses Amberg locks, etc. I believe he gets his stuff through the snare shop but I'm not 100% sure. I know they have a website snareshop.com

GoodOlBoy;
I've used this company in the past for some trapping and varmint hunting supplies. I use them primarily because they are a Michigan based small business, and I live in Michigan. I don't know how their prices compare with other trapping supply companies, but I do know that they are cheaper or at least come close to the same price (when S&H fees are figured in) to the local Gander Mountain in my area. Hopefully this helps ya............
