I'm not familiar with this gun, so, I'm speaking generically.
If the hammer has some left/right play, it may hang up when it's off to one side or another. A shim on either side of the hammer may keep it centered so that it does not hang up on something, and drops all the way. I've seen that on another gun, so, it might be something to look for.
