I also have an Encore. No muzy though. I have a 218 Bee bbl 25-06 7MM Rem Mag and a 30-06..oh and i just bought a 204 bbl for it as well as a 460 Pistol bbl which I doubt I will ever use. But hey it was a combo deal. If you think you may like one try a Boyds Laminated Thumbhole stock..Pretty strong. I have a Walnut a Black Composite(Plastic) and a Black Plastic Thumbhole. The TH is the one on the rifle most of the time. The walnut one has never been mounted. The 218 is a Custom shop bbl which I paid 250 bucks for with a Bushnell Elite 3200 scope on it. It shoots really well..long as you headspace on the shoulderand rim..snap fit kinda way. The guy had a 50 cal SS muzzy bbl he wanted to sell too but I really have no use for it

I have an encore

And have considered getting a wood stock for it since mine has the composite. But after reading this I believe I'll just be happy with the black composite. Actually if I could have my way Hogue would make an overmolded stock for the encore. Wonder why they don't since encores are so wildly popular. I installed a Hogue overmolded stock on a model 700 earlier in OD green and I love the way the rubber coated stock feels. Come on Hogue! Please make me a happy guy and start making stocks and forends for the encore!
