I'm sure part of the mystique of the Judge is the fact that it looks "different" and can shoot different calibers (410 & .45 colt). Having said that, I have always wondered why guns like the Judge are popular, yet guns like the Charter arms bulldog Pug in .44 special and the Taurus 431 (.44 special) and the 450 that GOB mentioned aren't (weren't) more popular? Could it be that recoil in these smaller guns with these 'bigger' rounds is just too much for the average shooter, or is it because ammo is difficult to come by and is more expensive than the .38s/.357s?
I wonder if Ruger ever toyed with the idea of putting a .44/45LC cylinder on their SP101 frame.....now that would be a CCW gun, fer sure! ![]()

Hey, GOB....I noticed that Taurus is making a .44 special CCW gun. Would that do yah? I think it's the model 445? At any rate, just did a little checking and was surprised to see it in the line up.
