Oh I ain't saying I like them. I think they are ugly, not particularly well balanced, and a little steep for my blood.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - John 3:16 KJV

Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun. - Ecclesiastes 8:15 KJV

"The gun has been called the great equalizer, meaning that a small person with a gun is equal to a large person, but it is a great equalizer in another way, too. It insures that the people are the equal of their government whenever that government forgets that it is servant and not master of the governed." - 40th President of the United States Ronald Reagan 1911-2004

I'm sure part of the mystique of the Judge is the fact that it looks "different" and can shoot different calibers (410 & .45 colt). Having said that, I have always wondered why guns like the Judge are popular, yet guns like the Charter arms bulldog Pug in .44 special and the Taurus 431 (.44 special) and the 450 that GOB mentioned aren't (weren't) more popular? Could it be that recoil in these smaller guns with these 'bigger' rounds is just too much for the average shooter, or is it because ammo is difficult to come by and is more expensive than the .38s/.357s?
I wonder if Ruger ever toyed with the idea of putting a .44/45LC cylinder on their SP101 frame.....now that would be a CCW gun, fer sure!

Hey, GOB....I noticed that Taurus is making a .44 special CCW gun. Would that do yah? I think it's the model 445? At any rate, just did a little checking and was surprised to see it in the line up.
