Mr. 16 gauge,
There is a very BIG difference between Price and Value. The Illinois "Springfield Armory" has had a long run of very good and not so good rifles. Many local rifle match folks have tales to tell. I like the Illinois Springfield Arsenal products, but I have seen some rifles group well and others "also ran" and are not worth the hang tag. BEFORE anyone spends $2,000 for a "Match" Illinois M1A Rifle, I suggest the prospective buyer go to the local range and fire 50 rounds of Match Factory ammo and seek groups touted in the M1A Literature. I have seen it go both ways. Keep the very good and CULL out what the Springfield Armory WOULD NOT! NOT all Springfield Armory Match Rifles are such like, AMEN! Adamn

Gil and Adam
Gil,
I was in your favorite gun shop today and saw that M1A rifle and it is a real beauty. Since it has been in the shop for a month and did not sell, the price came down a good bit. Not to worry, I set it back and will pick it up next week. I like a story with a happy ending. Adam, Any firearm may or may not be accurate and buying one is sometimes a crap shoot. From what I understand, Springfield stands behind their warranty. If a customer is dissatisfied, then trade it off and try again. If you are interested, I found another M1A for sale. Let me know. Take care... Joe |
