I have not seen Mid-range .44 Magnum loads on the shelf at my local gun shop this Century.

I am curious why you want lower power .44 Magnum loads. I would have suggested buying factory .44 Specials to arrive at the same lower level of performance. For myself, my .44 Magnums see lots of .44 Special loads with a dose of 2400 (Now Above the Book Loads, but below Book loads in previous reloading manuals) and my cast #429244 240 grain SWC.

I am not sure SASS shooters use magnums, but they sure shoot lots of .44 Specials at the club.

I was thinking about using my M29 to carry concealed while in the woods. I was looking for something that was more "antipersonell" as opposed to "anti grizzly bear", that would be more controllable to shoot....

...and plus, I wanted the cases for reloading; I reload for .44 magnum, but not .44 special.
