Hornady is making a 285 grain that some of the Willismsport competion guys are finding to be a good contender. More uniform than the SMK 300. Problem is I haven't found any yet. Sierra's take a lot of sorting to get good ones from my experience and I just quit shooting the 338 Tomahawk in comp for that reason. Besides the 6.5 is half the cost and half the recoil. If you find some you may consider them.

mainly deer out a ways (1100 yds. +) if I ever get it done, near as I can tell seekins precision just shipped my DBM and base, but broughton lost my barrel order somewhere, but they kept the payment, so gotta get that straightened out. To top it all off the tranny in my dodge gave up the ghost so there goes part of my stash of toy cash, so guess it'll be spring before I send the parts to nate.
will keep ya posted
