How much does South African Hunting Cost?
This posting is intended for whoever have seriously thought of hunting in South Africa. Do you know what it costs? I have compiled the advertized listed costs of hunting in South Africa as published on about 130 plus web pages and for most species of non-trophy and trophy animals into a database.

is the extra costs listed there somewhere? Like dipping, shipping back to Cananda, tips etc?

No, the idea was to have a database on trophy fees and daily rates. Here are the column headings in my current database: The prices are all quoted in US $.
1 COMPANY - The Hunting Outfitters name, e.g. El Cheapo Safaris 2 PRICEURL - URL of price listing e.g. http://www.mclarensafaris.com/dailyrates.html 3.1 COUNTRY - RSA / Zimbabwe / Namibia / Botswana / 3.2 PROVINCE - Only in RSA 3.3 TOWN - Where (i) Base of Operations or (ii) Postal address is 4.1 OWNERS - Andrew & Cecilia McLaren 4.2 CELLPHONE - + 27 79 679 5205 5.1 PRICERANK - A number that is calculated in a spreadsheet: Each Missing value is assigned the value "1.00" and each item price is assigned a value = The Particular HO's Price / The Median of all values in database. The whole bunch is then averaged for that HO.
