Our regs are out also. A lot of changes. Licenses are all electronic, no more written ones. Fee's are up, what else. Mine is down this year because I turned the dreaded age of 65. Doe permit system has changed. You have be a computer genius to figure all this stuff out. On a positive side we can now use break open muzzleloader during the ML season (about time).

Put in for muzzle loader elk cow in Routt. Trying to decide about deer - have 2 pref pts. Keep collecting pts or hunt deer same season. If I don't put in for it, I'm sure to see a monster!

Haven't been posting or even reading HC lately - lots of things going on at work. But I'll check in every so often....

Mike, good hunting. With all the dead longleafs, if we just don't have a major fire things should be fair. This one over by me....winds yesturday kept smoke over in your area! Man, coming home last evening, you couldn't even see Roxborough!

Draw gods were not kind......ole goat n kid were zipped.Guess I set this un out or buy a OC Bull.
DOW also announced a dramatic decrease in licenses this year.
Eary way to check is get on DOW web site, go to hunting and check preference points. If they grew, you didn't draw.

Only thing about OTC tags are the number of hunters out and about. You can check out left-over tags too. I'm waiting on my elk tag - to see what I drew. For deer I just collected points this year.

The fires are bad. Up near Alice last weekend smoke covering the mountains. I can smell the fires at the house (near Elizabeth). Those beetle kill pines are going up like match sticks!
