Military arms update

I made my usual rounds of local gun shops and saw only one Model 1891 Argentine Mauser in the racks. It was well rusted and in NRA good (which is really not all that good) condition for $349.00. It was still in the rack when I left the shop. The military guns were mostly gone and all that remained were some .22 l.r. clones. One rifle that was interesting was a copy of the German STG44 in .22 l.r. for $589.00. That was too rich rich for my blood. All the best...

Gil,

I saw only two used military arms at my local gun shop today. A Good No.4 Mk1 was priced at $495 and a Very Good Indian L2A1 (MkIII clone) .308 was priced at $450.

Sad news

The prices on anything military seem to be sky high. Very little is available in the shops that I frequent. Take care...

I wondwer why military arms are disappearing? As I said in another thread..It seems the American people are arming themselves in preparation of a fight..rather than a fear of bolt action rifles being banned.
