Ban on reimporting U.S military arms

Looks like our military rifles are going to be going up in value. Obama has issued and executive order to ban the reimportation of military arms that we sold, gave or loaned to foreign governments. This is the same thing that happened last year when South Korea wanted to sell hundreds of thousands of M1 Garands, M1 Carbines and 1911s back to us.

Oh well, I cannot recall any reported criminal or gang use of an M1 Garand. The bad guys will still get guns. Law abiding citizens, collectors and target shooters will have to pay more to get some military arms. I guess we are all safer now. All the best...

Let this be an object lesson to the fact that the anti-gunners will take any victory they can get. Any time they can stop the sale of firearms. We all know that the Garands and carbines basically have no history in crime .

Gil,

This morning on Fox TV News, Tucker said Obama, by Executive Order, also stopped the Civilian Marksmanship Program and its sale of surplus Garands, Carbines, etc. to honest citizens.

I guess we need to gear up for more EOs to come.

Adam

This lame duck will do anything he can to do what he wants reguardless if its legal or not. The liberals elected this sob and I hope they are happy with the War he about to bring the US into. I see very little support in Congress for it and when, not if, he starts I pray he will be impeached. He can take his AG and go home.,

Buckhunter I fear you are right. Talked to a friend this morning in Md. He said all of a sudden he is seeing a lot of training flights with the Md Nat Guard. They have the only wings of A-10 Warthogs left in the US from what I understand. Every time we get involved in a war the Md Air Guard trains a lot before. In fact I had a report that there was a training bomb dropped into the parking lot of a local bar near where I lived in Md. Wow that woulda been a bad one if it had been a live one.. All the local drun...er imbibers woulda been wiped out hurting the local economy even more that it is

As for the sale of Surplus gfarands etc through the DCM..is it really legal for him to stop that? It is a program passed by Congress and signed into law by the POTUS. Can he actually circumvent US law?

skeet, I wonder if he actually put out an Executive Order on the DCM. He puts a big hurt on the Garand sale program by prohibiting the reimport of guns given to other countries (mostly Garands). If you don't have them, you can't sell them. It will be interesting to see what the NRA says he did. They will certainly check it out.

I was stunned a few days ago to see my 2 senators taking a wait and see attitude about Syria. Since then it looks like they have been told to vote for war. Puppets. This guy isn't worth his salt. As bad as Bush was he stand head and shoulder above this guy. Only 3 1/2 years then I pray he drops off the face of the earth.
