You'll be pleasantly surprised by the recoil reduction. I have and shot several RUMs with and without breaks. Those without, obviously pound the heck out of you. With a break, it'll be like shooting a nice lil .308. Add the Sim's recoil pad and it's zero felt recoil. They'll ring your ears though...only problem when using a break while hunting if you don't have hearing protection. (who does while hunting?)

Remington just can not help themselves. A perfect opportunity to fix their mistake plus make a customer happy for good advertising and they muff up the whole deal. I build a good many Remington 700s and it is amazing to me that they, coming off a trigger replacement, want to muck around with an action that is drilled out of line. Sounds like the mail room guy made that initial decision.

It would be nice if this kind of thing never happened before. Buttt
