Good catch
I like pre-64 Winchesters and the price is right. If I liked it, it would have come home with me. All the best...

Dan,
GO for that pre-64! A few years ago I got a Model 70 .30-06 made in 1939 for $400 with a Koll-Morgan scope from that era. It is my annual Opening Day Rifle Deer firearm. Happily, my 150 grain JSP handload is +1.5 inches at 100 yards. Pre-64 Winchesters are an "endangered" Species. In that same lot I got a M1894 .30-30 Rifle with octagon barrel made in 1918. I use that rifle for woods hunting here in PA. Remember, we are ONLY Custodians of our treasured firearms, for a while. One day someone else will hold our treasured arms. Go for what pleases YOU! Adam

Thanks, I just need to work up a load that this one likes! Got my 06 and 270 for backup for this season.
