Thumbs up Sustainment pouch

picked me up a Molle sustainment pouch awhile back for dirt cheap at midwayusa. Added a rothco GI extra long utility strap from amazon to it to make it a shoulder bag to have to carry all my junk back and forth to the dr's offices for all these visits. I wear it cross body like an old haversack and I've got to say the thing works great. Perfect size, holds more than you think it would, but it's not cumbersome when empty either. Anyway for less than $20 total I don't think I could have bought anything else that would come near to working as well for me as this does. Once my health picks up I think it will make a FINE shell and field bag for hunting.

God Bless

That sounds very much like the haversack Civil War soldiers carried their rations in.
What goes around comes around, I guess.

Talking

actually yeah it is incredibly close, and surprisingly comfortable to pack around (assuming you aren't carrying your collection of blacksmithing anvils in it)

GOB,

Your bag sounds very much like my WWII gas mask bag that I carry afield every rifle deer season. It hauls my lunch, thermos, spare ammo, trash bag gun cover in case it rains, matches, compass and calculator so I can tot up my wealth waiting for the big buck.

Yeah I was looking for a gas mask, or possibly drum magazine bag to use when I stumbled on this thing. Like i said it works like a charm, and I like it very much. Not to mention it will hold a staggering amount of stuff for how small it looks and feels. I carried a complete change of comfortable x-ray and ct friendly clothes with me for my last round of tests, plus notebook, a book, and other stuff. still loving it, just wish I had a good way to put a water bottle holder on it. Oh well, not everything can be perfect.
