Another military rifle price check

I picked us an excellent used Auto Ordinance 1911A1 today. I saw more used guns on the used gun rifle rack. The Italian Carcano at $279 is still there. Next to it was a Soviet SVT 1940 Tokarev semi-auto rifle with a hang tag price of $1,179.00. I suspect it will be there for a long time. All the best...

Gil, I built a Hardball gun on a early AO...#104xx. Fitted slide to frame/NM trigger/fitted barrel/bushing and link with polished feed. Thing shoots dang nice!

The prices of military surplus arms will continue to go up.. In the early 1960s we bought MkIII SMLEs for $14.00, 98k Mausers for $15-20 and Lugers were $25.00. Reality Check: the 1960s are LONG GONE! Along with 27-cent -a gallon gas, dollar haircuts and $12,500 3-bedroom homes. Also, the median income was $4,500.00 back then.

Buy whatever military surplus arms you can for the asking price-it will never go down. In addition, none of us will take any of those arms with us when we go.
