PA Spring Gobbler Season opens this Saturday.

Here on the farm I have seen 5 or 6 gobblers in my hayfield everyday this week. Our season opens April 29 for Spring Gobbler.

I am gearing up for the Opener.

My son and I are tagged out. Finally caught up with his on Saturday. It took us a couple weeks since youth day when he should have had this bird then. Smart ol bird with lots of pressure from other hunters. Had another gobbler and 3 hens with him.

10 1/4" beard, 1 1/4" spurs. Nice 4 year old

Mine this morning, he was with 3 other long beards and 3 hens. Sure gave me the run around. Both would run the other way when you'd call. Little bit of the Haint and good ol woodsmanship fixed that.

9 3/4" beard, 1" spurs...
