That'll keep ya busy Adam, there's worse things to do. Nice that you have a farm and enough land to stretch.
Also got a new pup last August, but mine doesn't need the 1/2 mile walks, lol. Got a Dackel, or Dachshund, or as Americans would say a hotdog. They are a good hunting dog, earth dog, and the name Dachs in German is Badger, these Dackels went down the fox and badger holes to drive them out. They are tuff little buggers with a very good nose  Best thing is, our Waldi has twice as good of hearing as me. Viel spass mit Deinem neuen Hund!!

I walk Nikki every day exactly 1/2 mile from the house 440 yards up to the hayfield and back. She is a very good watch dog and likes chasing rabbits, squirrels, etc. I feel safer with a dog around in this rural setting. There are many burglaries and home invasions reported each week in our weekly newspaper. I can hear "crickets in December" and Nikki has better hearing than I. Nikki is our DEW LINE. You know, our Distant Early Warning device. LOL. Adam
