captain,

Thank you for confirming my earlier point. May I inquire why a range finder requires a permit? I think John Locke said it best after he mentioned governments should ensure "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" and when governments become destructive to these ends, "it is the Right of the people to alter or abolish it."

Somehow I feel your government has evolved from being public servants to being Government Masters of the people. Happily, we Yanks still have our guns. As an MA Historian, I see parallels between the election of 1860 and 2016. A collision between two very different views of citizen rights or government rule will come to a head in November 2016. The losers may not acquiesce gracefully.

captain,

I wonder why a range finder may not leave the USA enroute to you in Canada?

Oh, I can get a USA purchased range finder to Canada. But I have to pay extra to get myself export permits.

It is easier to just buy from a local retailer who has imported with proper permits in bulk to reduce the overall cost.

Still translates to higher cost for me as the consumer. Our lousy canadian dollar doesnt help very much either
