Holy Cow it should shoot an inch or so..maybe less. Older 77 or a Mark 2? Front action screw pulls back.. Make sure it is tight. Loosen up... put a piece of very thin plastic card stock right at the bbl receiver junction and retighten. May need two thin pieces..but try one first. Not credit card thick now. Thin plastic card. Reason for plastic is it will not absorb water. paper will. Can't hurt..worked on one of my 77s and on a #1 I had. If you can find a friend with the old H4831. If you have a Nosler loading manual look in it for good powders. The SST bullet shoots good in my 30-06. It is too lightly constructed for elk IMO but should be good for deer

Appreciate the advice!
I dont have plastic card stock...i do however have stainless steel shim stock in varying thicknesses. Gonna load up a few rounds and see how it goes....
