Great pictures, I wish I could have been there. It's good to know you can hunt in Norway. All of my family came from Norway over the last 150 years - from all over, Stavangar & the farm country islands the best I can tell. They homesteaded in Minnesota just in time to get drafted & go to the civil war. They farm this flatland but still talked about the sea - 1,500 miles from the nearest saltwater.

I'll bet my hunting friends over here have names similar to your hunting friends there, Anderson, Stamperstuen, Knutson, Larson, Olson, Benson....... Your pictures remind me a lot of some of mine, especially the second one with 4 guys wondering how this is going to work.

Is it mostly moose that you hunt there ? Do you call them moose or elk ?

What kind of rifles do you use over there and how much do you have to go through to be a gun owner and hunter?

One last question, can I borrow that contraption in the last photo this fall ?

Good hunting to you and hope to see & hear more.

Welcome to HuntChat 338 -- guess that's probably the caliber your using for those Elch, or as us Ami's would say, Moose. Nice pics, thanks for sharing, and that sled puller looks like it saves your back. How's it work in the high country? Waidmannsheil, Dom.

338, welcome to Huntchat.
Believe it or not, you aren't the only Norwegian hunter that hangs out here. There's a poster here called Sierra 22 that's from Norway.
Glad to have you.

338 i have noticed buy your pics that there seems to be a great amount of weather ghange dureing your moose seasen.
Is the seasen a long seasen or does your weather change often?
The deer hunting here has been 70 degreas and -15 degreas it can very frome year to year and day to day.
Also do you have any wolfs or bears in your area that pray on the moose?
