We had a great day....Shot out to 1780 yards. Was kinda hazy tho...Pretty hard to pick up the hits out there. My Rum held its own.But the 210gr JLK was no match for the 190's from DC's 30-378......It took me 37moa to get to the 1431 yard rock.....It took only 27 for DC's lazer

Somebody's cheatin'

Cool pics. They didn't come up at first.....

Now those scope adustments I have faith in. Had a long unertl once on a 22 target rifle.

Like those adustments a lot better than what is on the "normal' scope.

Hey, lets not be posting stuff so far out there. I'm only at 700 yds....... So far

If things pan out and they look like they will I'll have a 338-300Rum by this time next year. Then maybe I'll get into maybe the same galaxy as you guys, only a few orbits short.

Is that a rail gun? Pretty neat set up. Barrel doesn't look 34"? Looks like bolt handle was extended. I think I saw that chain driven contraption at Romains when they were first experimenting with it. Maybe it was something else.

Anyhow I think a blind man could hit that mountain.

Thinking maybe DC or you will be insulted and invite me up for a challenge. That way I'd get to try my Tommy at 1431.

Nope not a rail gun.......Barrel is 34 inch's...Yep on bolt handle...Jim Berfield built that table 20 years ago...Where the gun is pointing in the pic is only 965 yards...The 1431 is'nt until three ridges down

Boyd

I thought you LR guys didnt like the 30-378? I have been using A 30-378 for 5 years and love it ! It is wonderfully accurate, like you say it is a lazer. I dont shoot as fast as your buddy i am at 355O w/ 180s. What bullet is he using? why in previous posts did people say bad things on this Cal.? Do many other 1000 yrd shooters use it?

thanks and anyother input on it would be great!

There are a few LR hunters around here that use them.I shoot a 300 RUM with a 30 inch barrel...It runs a 210gr bullet to 3350...The big wby is a fine LR round. But for me the RUM will do all that a 30cal needs to do.And if I wanted more power.I would step up to the 338-378 or 338-416 Rigby Imp...My buddy is shooting a 190gr bullet....I will not post the load data tho.....It if PRETTY hot
