That goose would have been dead. My cousin once drove off road to kill a measly pheasant, I am sure that I would wreck the car trying to get that goose. Of course, people would be wondering why the mount was a little flat and had Goodyear across the chest.

All kidding aside, congratulations TreeDoc. Next time, look for the birds with the green band. They are worth $100.

Eider,

Since this is your first post, I will give you a warm welcome to the board. The rest of these guys can be pretty tough. LOL

Hope you have as much fun and gain as much knowledge as I do on this board, but once these guys warm up to you, your ribs will be sore from all the ribbing.

By the way, please do not tell me that you shoot a Browning.

Welcome Eider

Don't let these guys mess with ya too much..and at least ya do shoot one decent gun...the 870 of course. That there Browning is junk and the Benelli ain't far behind...course with a little coaxing...I could maybe save ya from yourself and stoop so low as to help ya get rid of those two junkers ya got..Don't wanna embarass ya none tho! So don't tell anybody else.... Shot lotsa banded birds. Even got a banded dove one time...tiny little thing

On the opposite spectrum, a friend got a band off a dead pelican and that thing is huge. It is so big that he gets a neck ache from having it on his lanyard.

Eider,

I will agree with Del, the Benelli and the 870 are great guns and in exactly that order. The Browning on the other hand, well, that is a long story. By the way, don't listen to Skeet about the Benelli because he wants to get it from you cheap.
