Question MEC power assist

Does anyone have experience converting a MEC Sizemaster or Grabber to hydraulic or air piston operation? I'm contemplating a solidily mounted press with a controlled stroke air piston connected to the operating handle. Looking for ideas, experiences (good or bad). Any help appreciated.

Powered Mecs

Have a hydraulic Mec..In my opinion they suck.. But there is hope for mec operators. There is an electrically operated mec operator out there that really looks good. A friend has one on his bench for the 9000G and it works great...and the way you operate it ya can't get the ol fangers caught in anything either. I'll get a link and post it later today.
