Hi Fellow Northeastern-ers,....
I have been kinda busy as of late,.......working,...looking for lease property to hunt for next season and also tryin to get as much info on this past season and numbers and so on.

Over the weekend there was an addition added to the family,.
We had a boy,.......Now wait,...it`s not a child,.(human),...it`s a puppy,......You all or most of you know I wanted a Chessie, or Lab,...Well I didn`t get either one,......I ended up getting a 8 wk old pug for my fiancee`.She had lost hers 4 yrs ago when we got together,....when it had to be put down.
Now she can start over again ,.and have what was taken from her 4 yrs ago.

Like I said ,...I have been busy ,.....and looks like alot of NY Hunters are upset,.and feeling let down by the NYDEC,.....
Mainly because they are paying for everything and not getting anything back,..or can we say,....enough bang for their buck?!
And it`s not only the money issue but the lack of proper deer management,......and the low deer herd numbers.

But some of that could be changing for the upcoming season,
I received a letter from the NYDEC and it states some of the changes being proposed for the 2005 Hunting Season.
Most of which can be veiwed at the NYDEC site.
Crossbows were also mentioned,.....as well as reducing deer bag limits and so on.
There is to be a get together soon,.....and I would like to ask that everyone attend their local DEC,DNR,..etc. meetings and vote and have a say in what you would like to see for your hunting season.
This is one way that we can improve our hunting and fishing and have a say about what changes could be made.Also this gives these orgs a sense of what Hunters and Fishermen are wanting in their seasons,..or out of it.

Sorry if I seemed to ramble on,......but this is what I have been doing for a few weeks now,. and I am still doing my hunter Instructor Safety Course.
So I am pretty busy,.....

And again I asked that everyone try to find the time to get involved in their local DEC,DNR Etc., and voice their opinions and such to those orgs.
