Orlando Skeet Range?

I'm going to be in Orlando Florida in May on business. I would like to take a day off to shoot some skeet while down there. Does anyone have a good skeet range that is open to the public that I could shoot at?

Thanks,

JimBob

JimBob,

Welcome to the board. I don't know of any skeet ranges in Orlando off the top of my head, but my fiance is going down there for a conference in I believe May, and I might be going down there with her. If the dates coincide, maybe we can get together for a little skeet shooting down there. I'd have to decide whether to check my gun on the plane or just rent a gun down there.

Hopefully, somebody on here will be able to give us some suggestions, but the only person I can readily think of from Florida is Valigator, and she is from Ft. Lauderdale. While she does a good amount of upland and gator hunting, I don't think she does a good amount of skeet shooting. So, we might be up a creek without a paddle.

I will be there from May 2, to May 6. If it works out for you, it's good for me. I love to shoot skeet. I just got in from the skeet range now. Keep in touch and let me know..

Thanks Skeet, I have tried this club, but the email came back to me and the phone number is no longer in service. Looks like a nice place, or use to be...

JimBob,

I just spoke to the fiance, and I have the wrong "M" month. We are going to be down there at the end of March. If you are every in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, let me know because I know plenty of skeet ranges around here.

Sorry to here you have the wrong month. I always like to meet with another gun guy and shoot some skeet. We will have to just stay in touch and maybe one day we will get together and dust some clays..

Here is where I shoot once to twice a week. I'll be there tomorrow afternoon and probably Sunday afternoon. Come down and shoot with us sometime if you get down this way...

North Carolina isn't too far from Maryland. Who knows, maybe I'll stop by one day on the drive to Tampa, Florida. That is where the fiance's parents live, so I will probably be driving down that way once or twice a year.

Sounds good, we are right here off I-95. Let me know and we will go out to the skeet field and shoot some.

If there is anyone in the Orlando area that could call around for me and confirm that a skeet range is open, then get me the phone number or web address of the club.

I can't believe there is not a club down there open to the public.
