Personally, I cannot stand the Eagles right now. I was a big fan of theirs when I was 8 years old (i.e., when they went to the Super Bowl) last time, but that was before I was a true Redskins fan and before they turned into a bunch of hoodlums. If there is anything I cannot stand, it is a bunch of bad boys. As far as the AFC was concerned, I just wanted a team in the Super Bowl that can beat the Eagles and the Patriots were a team that could do that. What I like about the Patriots is that there are no loud mouths on the team and virtually no bad boys.

One play by the Eagles sums up the team, dirty. The play was where Westbrook or some other receiver was coming across the middle in the first or second quarter and another Eagle threw one hell of a pick on the cornerback. Not only is the pick illegal, but it was a designed play, and that really pissed me off because that means the coach had it written up that way. God has ways of making things right though.

By the way, I couldn't stand that the Red Sox beat the Yankees and went on to win the World Series. That team is a bunch of bad boys with a couple of exceptions, Johnny Damon being one of the exceptions. So, I was a little happy when the winning hits came off of his bat. That at least numbed some of the pain.

I still can't get past the fact that Belechick ran the Browns into the ground before Parcells taught him how to coach. And they have a Michigan guy at QB..... So it just figures they'd win again. I've finally learned that in order to enjoy sports, you have to have no affiliation with either team that is playing.

That is definitely true. Not caring about either team makes watching the game a lot nicer. Last night the problem was that I hate the Eagles. That made for a long and tense night.

Please, if they make it to the playoffs I would have a heart attack. I watch the first few games of the season, get way too worked up, and then quit watching until they are fighting to get in the playoffs or I know they are completely out of the running.

Not really a fan of either tieam, but favored the Pats over the Eagles in this one. Donovan doesn't do much for me, and I couldn't stand the thought of Owens' mouth running if they won.
What surprised me is the way the Eagles gave up with less than 5 minutes left. And now I'm hearing "well, Donavan was really sick"
Give me a break, ya all lost and gave up to soon.

That is the difference between winners and losers. Four years ago when the Patriots won their first Super Bowl, they were huge underdogs to the Rams, but they hung in there and right at the end they drove down the field to kick the game winning field goal.

I was shocked when the Eagles were using a huddle with 5 minutes to go and needing two scores. Sure, that isn't the ideal situation to be in, but it isn't the end of the world either. I have seen teams come back from 30 point defecits with a half to go to actually win the game. I believe the last one was the Jets against Miami. Miami was on the losing end of that one.

The Eagles didn't show me a thing, and if McNabb was that sick he should have let the backup QB play. If it wasn't for an illegal contact penalty, he would have thrown 4 ints., then again, I guess he wouldn't have thrown the second because the first would have stopped that drive. Anyway, how much worse could a backup have done.
