PA's Game Commission
Some of you might remember the e-mail I sent to a bunch PA's legislators. Well, I got a canned response the other night that really didn't address the issue and I received another that actually looks like the guy read my e-mail and made a really good effort at his response. Here it is:
Dear Mr. Roman: Thank you for contacting me to express your disappointment with the information you found on a website that documents allegations made against the Pennsylvania Game Commission. I understand your feelings about what you saw on that website, and I appreciate your taking the time to contact me about it. While I realize that the Pennsylvania Game Commission has shortcomings, I believe that this website is somewhat unfair in its characterization of the PGC and its employees. There is no mention of the successes that the PGC has had in enforcing the regulations regarding game in the Commonwealth. The PGC has been successful in its regulation of Pennsylvania’s game and hunting lands, for the most part, and I believe it is unfair to make characterizations of this agency based on a relatively few number of incidents. That being said, the allegations made against the PGC will be investigated, and if any wrongdoing is discovered, it will be addressed. I hope that you will reconsider your decision to purchase land in the Commonwealth. I think that you would find Pennsylvania to be an outstanding place to hunt and to own property. Once again, thank you for contacting me about this matter. Please feel free to contact mf I you should require any information or assistance. Sincerely yours, Senator Jay Costa, Jr. 43rd District

that is more of a response then i have ever got on anything related to the game commission, usually just a thankyou for your comments.
i dont remember the original topic but i think you should buy some land, um preferably with a few ponds dotting it or some wheat stubble, and then of course think of other Pennsylvanians that you hear from and invite them down. kt |

KT,
Right now I am debating land in Maryland and Virgina on the Eastern Shore, land in Virginia somewhat further south than I am right now, and land in PA. It will probably be a couple of years before I actually buy a farm, so I have a little while to finalize my decision. Once I have my own farm, you can bet that I will be inviting buddies from Huntchat to hunt with me.
