Winchester Low Wall

I saw a beautiful, new Winchester Low Wall today at a local gun shop. It is chambered in 17 HRM. A superb handling and balanced gun! Too bad it wsn't a .22 Hornet or .218 Bee! The proprieter said there's been virtually no interest in it, due to the chambering. What a pitty!

So I checked the 2005 Win. catalog. Sure enough, just two chamberings for this sweetie - .17 HRM and .17 Mach II - an even less useful cartridge in such a rifle!! MSRP for this gun is over 1K, but the one I saw had a $770.00 price on iot.
