Florida, here I come!

I just today sent my first rent check, along with my signed lease to my new apartment in Gainesville, Florida.

I now only need to do the final cleaning, and packing of my apartment here. Then wait for my mover to give me a date when he can ship my gear down to my new apartment. Im going to have my Dad and a bud help the mover pack my gear, so I can drive down ahead of them.

I cant wait to get out of here!

Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun. - Ecclesiastes 8:15 KJV

It insures that the people are the equal of their government whenever that government forgets that it is servant and not master of the governed." - 40th President of the United States Ronald Reagan 1911-2004

My girlfriend went to the University of Florida in Gainesville, as did her sister. Her brother is attending the University right now. The city is kinda small, but there should be a ton of places to hunt at around there. On the drive down, be very careful of a small city/town outside of Gainesville because they will give you a ticket if you are driving 1 mph over the speed limit. Better safe than sorry.

Just might drop in on you during one of my drives to see the in-laws. I'll let you know when I am headed down that way.

Yeah, I was warned about that when I was down there after the election.

It’s going to be a drag establishing residency, before I can finish school. It is still worlds better than upstate N.Y., for me. Although I will miss the Adirondacks allot, along with my famly.
With all the sportsmen opportunities around I’m saving for a bow ! I still need to find my golf clubs also.

I would be more than happy to meet ya, if you visit the in-laws.

One of my sons moved to Florida in January. His move was courtesy of Uncle Sam and he's in Panama City, stationed at Tyndall. He'll be there at least through the end of November at ABM School. His brother vistied him over the weekend and I guess they had a good time, with nice warm weather! I hope to visit him before he relocates.

Florida has some really nice rules about CCW. In fact, I think they are the most widely recognized CCW permit for a non-resident. I'v ebeen thinking on getting a FL nonresident permit as it seems to be recognized in a great many states, especially east of the Mississippi. A great example is Ohio. They won't recognize my IN resident permit, but they will recognize a FL nonresident permit. Go figure!

Anyway, its not too hard to establish residency -- unless you want it for in-state tuition purposes! Then states make it almost impossible.
