Jessica Lundsford

If any of you read this...say a prayer for Jessica Maria Lunsford the missing 9 year Homosassa girl abducted from her home....

These types of abductions are rare but they are not unheard of and happen more than you might be aware of ....obviously some animal with horrendous intentions has either stalked this family or it was a familiar family friend...who knew the setup at this residence.....this is a case that is riddeled with pure evil......please pray for her.....

Always and for all the rest also. This is one area of police work I can not do is these type investigations. I cannot deal with these type people and stay out of these cases as much as I can. I have had two in over twenty years and they still bother me to this day !

The mother who was in another state has appeared and is joing the family in pleading for her return,,,she is not a suspect...500 volunteers are gridding the areas, there is a $25,000 reward posted by Atanta Braves pitcher...Mike Hampton who grew up in the area....so far nothing but a missing girl and her doll....150 tips but nothing tangible to date...

I just hate these kind of things, cause they never turn out good, But prayers are sent from here, for her safe return.

Pray for Jessica, her family and friends and pray this never happens in your community. Cannot express enough, how much I hope this ordeal turns out well, but I fear that it won't.

I wonder if they have used a bloodhound on this case? I only bring it up..because in the Jimmy Ryce case...the proximity of his abduction to where he was taken and ultimately killed were very close to each other...the mother made the statement...that if a bloodhound was brought in..she wonders if they might have found him before his murder...as they figure the killer..who is still on death row ...with no execution date set.....I might add...kept him for a few hours prior to his death....these dogs are suppose to be worth their weight in gold with cases like this....

Heartbreaking

I pray for Jessica and her family and all the others we don't know about or didn't get to in time.

I just saw on the Houston news last night that the court system is actually giving some of these child molesting scum defered ajudication if they go through counseling, but they will always be listed as sex offenders. Every one in the court system knows that these guys have the worst recidivism rate. It's insane to let these predators back on the street in any form or fashion. I get so angry at the system. There is a major malfunction in a system that lets these predators out on the street.

Nulle, One of my friends was an investigator who used to handle cases like this and he said it was the toughest and ugliest job he ever had done in his life. He was very relieved when he didn't have to do it any more.

Val, My heart goes out to that family. The thought of a child missing is so saddening. Let us know what you hear as there is nothing on our news here either. I had the opportunity to work with bloodhound handlers in my youth searching for lost folks in the woods back in the mountains. The dogs were totally amazing and the handlers could read their dog like a book. The handlers ran criminals for a fee but all other searches were totally free.

I dont want to get on a band wagon here but most of you know this is my area of expertise......the laws are quite unfair ...unfair to us as citizens...and sometimes unfair to men labeled sex offenders....I have watched this stuff just about all my adult life....the one thing most of you need to know....there are more people out there than you really want to admit that want to have sex with a child......there are some kids who get got up in the system...because their girlfriends were underage....you really have to make a distinction as to where you are gonna direct your rath.....I direct mine towards pedophiles...Jessica's case to me is a situation where a casual friend who probably was a pedophile came into play...I dont think she is alive...in cases like this they are killed 3-4 hours after the abduction...or the family was stalked and he knew what his options in the house were...either way this girl who is 9 years old for Christ sakes is gone....I do not believe she left willingly knowing what was to be her fate...and if she did ...it was only because she did not know her fate....she is a nine year old baby for Gods sake...no good will come from this....Damn I dont even know what to say....these guys are a menace to us...and they need to be taken down.....Law Enforcement cannot keep up with this tide of beast.......maybe some of you need to think about that...and take care of it....

Val,
I once met an elderly gentleman in my youth who lived in Poland during the time Russia controlled it. He told me the Russians wouldn't take care of crime in the Polish ghettos during this time. He saw a few people stoned or beaten to death on the street by the public and it cured violent predatory crime very quickly.

I cannot tell you how much I wish we could stop pedophiles from ever being released from prison. It should be a life sentence.

John

Slim: When you are interviewing these nuts you have to get into their head and tell them you understand and get them to open up to you so you can lock them up. I can not do this and the urge to reach across the table and beat the **** out of them is waaaaaaay to strong. I admire the invetigators that can .

I hate to say this, but I have a bad feeling about this. I dont want to point fingers or say anything disrespectful. I am a parent of two young boys and couldnt imagine how it would feel to have one of my boys have something happen to them. Just would be literally devistating.

As someone else said, these things never end well, it seems. I feel horrible for this little girl and her family.

Whats bothering me is some of the interviews with her father I saw on FOX yesterday. Something just didnt set right. I hope I dont get flamed for saying this, dont know what it is, but I sincerely hope this isnt another parent gone bad.

All we can do is pray for the little girl and hope she comes home safe. God willing.

Andy
