Here's my hound from hell; doing what he likes best.
Chocolate Lab, 8 1/2 yrs old and Pheseant dog extrodinerre'
(I don't think that I spelled that right.)
He has not lost a single bird in 6 years. (over 180).

P.S. A buddy of mine in Northern Wisconsin uses Fox Hounds for
snoeshoe hare. Much like your's but a little bit more muscular.
Those long legs do better in the deep stuff.

The Harrier, as the name implies was used for rabbit hunting and very good at it they say.
