356 Winchester AE

New member, first post (loads listed for my rifle only)

I just bought a pre-cross bolt safety 356 Win.94 @ a gun show in Mpls., being a lever action fan ( I have 13 levers & 2 Ruger #1 rifles)

Rifle came with Leuplod base's & rings and I mounted a Leupold 4x compact, bought Lee dies and 180 Speer FT. PT. Hotcore.

Loaded 45. gr of H-335 for sight in (vary mild but accurate)

Loads Tested (5 shot groups) Win. Cases & Win. L/R Primers

1) 45 gr. Accurate# 2015 = 1 1/2" @ 100 yds
2) 45 gr. H-322= 1 3/4 @ 100 yds.
3) 41.5 gr. H-4198 1 3/4 @ 100 yds.

Don't let people tell you levers won't shot.

A very warm welcome, oldpete!

You won't hear me decrying levers. I'm not a fan of them, but I did buy one to use writing about the 7-30 Waters. It was a new in the box Win 94 Angle Eject carbine. With factory loads or a good handload, it'd shoot right near an inch. That's also five at 100 with a 4X scope.
