Do we have any closet SW geeks onboard here at HC? I admit that I am one! (LOL)
![]() My bro is WAY into it. It will be nice to see it with him because we kinda grew up with it as kids. He's got his office at home converted into a Star Wars shrine of sorts loaded with our old toys combined with all of the newer action figures and vehicles. When I found out how much my old trading cards were worth, (remember the original blue, red, green, yellow, and orange series with the decals-boy, that's a blast from the past!) I asked for all of my old crap back so I could pawn it all on E-bay and buy another shotgun!!! ![]() I love the special effects and am looking forward to seeing the flick. The story sounds very dark! |

I love the movies and used to have a bunch of figures but I don't think I'd go so far as to call myself a SW geek. I've been waiting on Episode 3 for a long time and it's going to be difficult to wait to see it but I don't want to fight the crowds.

I love Star Wars.
I saw Episode I the day it came out, but I have yet to see all of Star Wars Episode II. We were going to rent it tonight, but the finale of Ray Romano was on TV. After the fiance and I watch Episode II, we will be seeing Episode III one day at the matinee when she is off of work.

Here's the old triumph the wonder dog clip from the attack of the clones.

I believe I had seen parts of that clip on some cable show a couple of years ago and got a good laugh of it then. Fortunately, I am not that whacked (as a SW fan
![]() My brother works as a graphic artist and has done charity benefits (juvenile diabetes, etc.) for the last couple of Star Wars films in conjunction with local radio stations so he has received our tickets awhile ago. We just have to sit in line for our seats-which isn't completely bad considering a local rental company will be dropping off a supply of Lazy Boy recliners and a host of local restaurants will be catering. (Heck the only thing missing is a TV and remote and it'll be just like home!) There is typically Star Wars trivia games going on and toy lightsabre duels for the kids along with prizes. It's fun for the kids. I wonder if the PG-13 rating for this particular film will curtail the kids any. I don't dress in costume other than a SW baseball cap, much to my brothers chagrin but oh well. Should be fun. |

That video of Triump the Wonder Dog was hilarious.
While I love Star Wars a lot and skipped some law school classes to go and watch the remastered Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, I am definitely not dressing up for any of this. I have watched the movies a bunch of times on video and even remember as a kid watching Star Wars on VHS. However, somebody recorded over the ending of it so we always got to watch where the Millenium Falcon came and rescued Luke from Darth Vader, but we were never able to see the Death Star blow up.

Don't feel bad Fabs
The digitally remastered version of Episode IV's Death Star explosion (complete with beautiful fire ring) is much better! The boys at ILM just keep getting better and better from the original "blue screen."
My brother saw some clips from Sith and said that there is a scene that he got e-mailed from a buddy that he slowed down frame by frame on his computer that looks like a scorched gunner pilot somersaulting end over end on fire through space after his bubble turret explodes in a sea of shrapnel, flame, and debris. I guess this is one of about fifty individual space battles going on simultaneously during a space battle sequence. Incredible! You damn near will have to watch it on video about twenty times to catch everything! |
