Im Getting a Camera

I gotta get a camcorder and start filming. If some of these clowns that are on the Sporstman Channel, The Outdoor Channel and others can do it, and alot of the videos that are on the market today get sold, I can do it too.

This is ridiculous, alot of it anyway. I know for a fact that my son and I, and a couple of buddies once in a while, get alot more interesting action calling predators, deer hunting, turkey hunting and bass fishing than these guys are filming.

Its unreal what is making the grade for some of these shows now days. I know nothing about running a camera. But alot of these knuckleheads do either, obviously.

I got one,......When ya wanna start?!

Andy,
I got a camcorder,...actually 2 of them,...So when ya wanna start ,...
We could do a Midwest show,...since no one on any of those shows do PUBLIC HUNTING areas,..its all leased or controled areas,...
I`d love to see Jackie Bushman or any of the other guys on those shows hunt in Vinton Co S.E Ohio on Ohio Power property and see if they do as well,
Or better yet come hunt West Mountain NY located 4 miles WEST of I-87 @ exits 18 or 19.

Wow what a show that would be huh,...NOT!
Cause in reality you have to hunt in our world,..in theres you just have to be able to pay someone to take ya.

Thats the truth Wolvie. I know a couple of guys that have a pretty well known show. I dont want sued for slander, which is exactly what they would do, but Ill tell ya this. If they dont have a "preserve" type lease or guides, they couldnt catch or kill anything. I get a kick out of them pulling up to local bass tournaments with their trucks decked out with advertisments and boat the same, and I have yet to see them at a pay window.

Whats even funnier is these guys on the Sportsmans channel. Its a new channel, to me, on Charter cable. Some of these are brothers, husband/wife, friends, ect... that are absolutely hilarious. I applaud them for getting their shows on TV and makin some money while having fun. But, if that stuff sells, I KNOW some of the stuff I have witnessed personally will sell BIG!!

And, some of these hunting videos that sell for 10-20 bucks a pop, wow. Some of them are nuts. Put out an automatic feeder, wait a couple weeks, be there at a opportune time when it goes off, turn on the camera and shoot one of the deer, turkey, hogs, ect... that happens to be havin dinner. Sometimes all at the same time. Its hilarious. And folks are buying it. I havent, but I have some friends that have libraries full of this stuff.

Im serious. Im getting a camera. I dont care if I kill anything. My boys plenty good to do the shooting. Ill run the camera, call and dogs. Theres gotta be some cash in it.

AndyL, I think you'll really get into the filming. We do it here and just love it. We are not very good at it, and our equipment is not top notch but the entertainment level is superb. We have learned though that alot of the time the unscripted dialogue needs to be edited for some of the younger viewers. Your comments on some of the outdoor programming, not all of it, really struck a nerve with me. I really have to resist here in not launching into a verbal tantrum as to the quality of alot the shows. Anymore, so much of the message of these shows, is that you need to be rich, have the best equipment, a terribly expensive ranch to hunt on, and a professional quided or two.
Anything less than that, why bother, because you don't have a clue what you are doing, and couldn't possibly have any fun doing it by yourself. Enough said, my tongue is starting to hurt from biting it. Anyways! Have a great Day!--tr

Just remember Wolvie Bro,....

When ya make it big,...
And if ya wanna do a "REALITY HUNTIN SHOW " let me know,....
Maybe we can get VH1 or CMT or someone to give us some slot time to pitch the idea and get in on the $$$$$$

Like I said I would love to see any of these hotshots on tv go to a public hunting area and try their "SELF" proclaimed high ranking hunting expertize in the same woods most of their watchers hunt in .

I see alot of time spent talking,..and not much in sales ,...LOLOL!
I am giddy inside thinkin` about it!

LMBO!!!!

I QUIT WATCHING THOSE HUNTING? SHOWS A NUMBER OF YEARS AGO.

THEY ALL STARTED TO BE THE SAME.

WELL FOLKS HERE WE ARE DOWN AT THE XYZ RANCH, JUST YOUR REGULAR COMFY PLACE, ONLY 800 SQUARE MILES, AND WERE ALL SET TO SHOOT THIS 40 POINT BUCK OL' JEB HAS BEEN SPOON FEEDING SINCE HE WAS BORN.

TALK ABOUT A CANNED HUNT. I'D LIKE TO SEE THEM HUNT LIKE THE REST OF US SCHMUCKS DO. THEM CLOWNS COULDN'T FIND A SOUP BONE ON THE BOTTOM OF A GARBAGE CAN.

MY RANT.
