Spotting scopes

Im looking to get a spotting Scope I dont care how much what I do care about is how clear and crisp it is.. what do you all think? Im looking at the Swarovski STS 65 and 85 the 85 is only 1.2" longer and 7 oz more in weight so why not go 85? Also im looking at the Leica 62 and 77 Televid again the 77 is only an inch longer and 13 oZ heavyer? Are there any that Im forgetting about that you like better than these too? which do you like? and any pros or cons that I am not thinking of?
Chris

Welcome to HC Motox. Can't help you much, other than to say that if you want a clear spotting scope you're on the right track.

I've learned the hard way that you can't get clear for under a few hundred, at least in my experience. I can tell you that the Swaro scopes I have live up to clear, so I'd expect the same from their spotters. Leica is also in the same league, as well as Zeiss. I'm saving and when the time is right will get something good, -- though I don't know if I'd drop over a grand in one. I hear good things about Meopta . . . Waidmannsheil, Dom.
