Orienteering
How much has the sport of orienteering changed in the last 20 years? I know the maps are a little more accurate and compasses can be a little more high-tech but what about the techniques? I'm looking for a book on orienteering and found a bunch that are as old as 20 years. I'm sure the sport can't have changed that much. I figure it would be a good thing to know in case I get lost but it also sounds like fun.

I think the books from 20 years ago would probably teach you as well or better than anything out there today, everything has gotten geared more toward GPS coordinates. Check the web sites of some compass manufacturers like www.thecompassstore.com They show a book on orienterring.
