what kind of groups could one expect from say a .44rem mag in a lever action carbine?

my Marlin 1894S shoots my handloaded Speer 270 grain GDSP within 2 inches or less at 100 yards. At 50 yards, you can look for groups around 3/4 inch. The Marlin has always worn a scope. Currently, its an old Weaver V4.5, usually set at the lowest setting.
This rifle has taken 7 nice bucks.

My stepdad has had a browning B92 .44 mag lever action for quite a few years.

his rifle always shot well, if i remember correctly we could keep 4 inch groups at 100 yards for a full tube of 11 (i think have to check) rounds.
