My good buddy and Sponsor here on HC, Mike Gallop from In-scents.com just got back and called me yesterday. I hooked him up with Marie Haskett of JML Outfitters in the Flattop Wilderness of Colorado on a guided pack in hunt. Mike was hunting with guide and part owner of DAL Outfitters who often helps out Marie also in the early season (DJ Cornutt).

Mike, on his first trip out west, first elk hunt ever killed a narly looking non-typical 4x5 after only 2 days of hunting with his bow. His left 5 point anter was pefect and the right 4 point beam dips way down to make a very unusual first time trophy.

Mike was pretty fortunate, since I've told him that I've hunted elk with a bow for many years and told him that it just normally don't come that easy. I'm real happy for him and even happier that my referral was worth his time and money. Thanks a bunch Marie and DJ, and congrats to Mike! I'll post a pic when I get one.

Now as long as my Pro Staff tags out with Wild Skies Outfitters in Montana this year, I'll be batting 1000! Go get em guys.....
